Central banks signal a quieter autumn ahead.

By Elena Marsh · Senior correspondent · 08:14

Markets opened calm this morning after a turbulent week, as policymakers on both sides of the Atlantic hinted that the season of surprises may finally be drawing to a close.

Why audio

Readers who listen stay longer.

Reach the in-between hours

Commutes, kitchens, gyms and school runs — audio turns the moments readers can't look at a screen into reading time.

Accessibility, built in

Every article becomes usable for readers with visual impairment or reading difficulties — a WCAG-conscious player, keyboard-first controls, no cookies.

A voice that is yours

Design a signature narrator for your publication — warm, crisp, serious or playful — and it reads everything you publish, consistently.

Built for newsrooms

Every masthead has a voice waiting.

Online dailies, weekly magazines, local newsrooms, independent journals — if you publish articles, they can be heard.

Questions

Fair questions, honest answers.

How does the free plan work?

Five articles a month, the full player, every voice. No card details and no trial clock — it simply stays free at that volume.

What counts as an article?

One piece of writing turned into audio, counted once when the audio is created. If you edit the piece, its audio refreshes at no extra charge within the month — and replays never count.

Will the player slow my site down?

No. It is one small script; the audio is created once and then served from a cache, so your page carries a lightweight player and nothing else. The player sets no cookies.

Do I need a developer?

If you can edit your site template or install a plugin, you don't. Paste one line before the closing body tag — or use the WordPress plugin — and the next article you publish is listenable.
